Most reviewers speak of what Proloquo2Go can do for children with communication difficulties. But it is important to point out that it is also a powerful communications tool for adults who have lost their ability to speak due to neuromuscular disorders or other conditions.
I lost my voice to primary lateral sclerosis and have been relying on AAC technology since 2008. Ive been using Proloquo2Go since the first iPad came out. I love having the power of sophisticated speech in a lightweight package. I especially appreciate the amazing customizability that gets increasingly powerful with each update. Ive created well over a thousand custom buttons that get me through most of the situations I encounter, from shopping through doctor visits.
The variety of available voices and the ability to assign different voices to different buttons adds a little fun to the day. My one wish is to be able to import a sound and assign it to a button.
